Noir Film Fest in San Francisco – Watch Noir on Fandor

The 9th Annual Noir City San Francisco Film Noir Festival opens today for a ten day run in San Francisco’s majestic Castro Theatre. One of the preeminent film noir events in the country, this year’s edition is themed ”Who’s Crazy Now?” a lineup of twenty-four tales of madness. Titles range from the legendary—Oscar-winning performances by Ingrid Bergman (Gaslight) and Ronald Colman (A Double Life)—to obscure rarities, all presented as originally intended, in glorious 35mm celluloid, in a movie palace, before an appreciative audience.

Fandor is a proud sponsor of the Noir City Festival and its partner organization, the Film Noir Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to preserve films in danger of being lost or irreparably damaged, so that noir films can be enjoyed in their original condition for generations to come.

Now you can support the Film Noir Foundation with a subscription to Fandor. If you subscribe to Fandor, we will donate $2 to the Film Noir Foundation. Enter code noircity9 upon subscription.

For those of you who can’t be in San Francisco for Noir City this weekend, we have several noir and noir-themed titles available that you can watch any time:

The House by the River (dir. Fritz Lang)

Persons Unknown (dir. George Hickenlooper)
