Filmmaker Nathan Silver (The Blind) returns to Filmwax Radio for a lively chat about his recent film, Exit Elena, which premiered on Fandor this month.
Exit Elena is darkly comedic home movie about a live-in aide (newcomer Kia Dvavis) and a family in crisis. Most notable is that the matriarch who hires Elena is played by Nathan’s mother, Cindy, who is not a professional actor. The film is entertaining on many levels, capturing a moment in time in a young woman’s life when she is trying to make her own way in the world.
