Tonight sees the launch of a new series, Standup Movie Professor, hosted by an esteemed board member of the Millennium Film Workshop: Ken Jacobs. In the inaugural lecture, “The 1000 Eyes of Dr Mabuse – The Resurrected Vision,” David Phelps will be addressing Harun Farocki, Thomas Harlan, Jerry Lewis, Theodor Adorno, Jack Arnold, Jacques Rivette, Jean Renoir, and of course, Fritz Lang. “Audience dialogue and projection of moving images will be part of all Standup Movie Professor events.”

That’s tonight at 8 pm at the Theater 80 in New York. The Facebook page for the event has all the info you’ll need if you’re in town.
