We’ll never know if the book was better

The Online Film Critics Society, founded in 1997, has announced its awards, and wouldn’t you know it, their site‘s down. For the moment, the O in OFCS stands for Offline. At any rate, it’s kind of the group to shake things up ever so slightly by giving three awards to Wes Anderson‘s The Grand Budapest Hotel, including the big one.

Best Picture: The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Best Animated Feature: Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s The Lego Movie.

Best Film Not in the English Language: Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne’s Two Days, One Night.

Best Documentary: Steve James’s Life Itself.

Best Director: Richard Linklater, Boyhood.

Best Actor: Michael Keaton, Birdman.

Best Actress: Rosamund Pike, Gone Girl.

Best Supporting Actor: Edward Norton, Birdman.

Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette, Boyhood.

Best Original Screenplay: Wes Anderson, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Best Adapted Screenplay: Gillian Flynn, Gone Girl.

Best Editing: Douglas Crise and Stephen Mirrione, Birdman.

Best Cinematography: Robert D. Yeoman, The Grand Budapest Hotel.

No Special Awards this year.
