Wrong Cops, written and directed by Quentin Dupieux (Rubber, Wrong), will eventually be “a filthy 90 minute comedy about some disturbed cops,” according to the official site. “Chapter One” premiered this afternoon at the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes and, as the Playlist‘s Kevin Jagernauth puts it, “it landed online at the same time. How 2012.”

The synopsis: “Duke, a crooked and music-mad cop, patrols in Los Angeles’ streets, music blasting and meets a young techno lover, David Dolores Frank. Appalled by the musical tastes of the young adolescent, Duke decides to give him a good music lesson.” Featuring Marilyn Manson, Grace Zabriskie, Mark Burnham, Eddie Tapia, Daniel Quinn and Roxane Mesquida.
