Have you been to famousobjectsfromclassicmovies.com yet? If not, say goodbye to your Monday. This online combination of hangman and Pictionary is a bona fide timesuck, with 19,000 likes on Facebook. A big part of its appeal is that it couldn’t be easier to play: look at the famous (or in some cases, not so famous) object from a classic (or in some cases, not so classic) movie, and start typing letters to spell the movie title. Be careful though – three wrong letters and you lose.
Another word of caution: the game never ends – new films seem to be added to the pool of titles every day. Yours truly quit after 5o movies, getting 44 right. The record for 50, from what I gleaned from the user comments, is 48-2. Another person got 80 out of 84.
