Women in Film: Brie Larson

Play Video

From saving the Avengers to fighting for diversity and equality, Brie Larson is a superhero both on and off-screen. The Academy Award-winning actress has used the celebrity status earned from films like Room, 21 Jump Street, Short Term 12, and Kong: Skull Island to shine a spotlight on the #MeToo and Time’s Up movements. It only makes sense that she will be playing the titular character in Captain Marvel, the first female-led film in the MCU. And if that wasn’t enough, Larson has also flexed her savvy behind the camera, directing two short films in addition to her directorial feature debut, Unicorn Store, which premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. With all of the influence and talent she wields, Brie Larson is steadily proving herself to be one of the most potent forces in the industry.
