Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale gets an early treatment here with John Barrymore as the kindly doctor who believes everyone has a duel nature. The transformation scene, where Jekyll turns into the twisted Mr. Hyde, is as transfixing now as it was nearly a century ago!
The cast includes Martha Mansfield as the woman loved by Jekyll, and Nita Naldi as the dance hall girl seduced by Jekyll’s evil alter ego.
